Expedition Overview
Gondogoro Peak (5,650m / 18,537ft) is situated in the upper Gondogoro Valley in the Hushe region of Baltistan. It is widely acknowledged as the finest entry-level climbing and trekking peak in the Karakoram. Requiring only basic mountaineering equipment (crampons, ice axe, harness, and roped travel), it serves as the perfect goal for adventurous trekkers seeking their first authentic alpine summit.
The ascent follows gentle glacial slopes and 30-degree snow ramps from the high camp below the Gondogoro Pass. From the summit crest, climbers are rewarded with one of the most sublime mountain vistas on Earth—a jaw-dropping 360-degree amphitheatre showcasing K2 (8,611m), Broad Peak (8,047m), Gasherbrum I (8,068m), Gasherbrum II (8,035m), Laila Peak, Chogolisa, and Mashbrum.
Hunza Adventure Tours provides all-inclusive guided expedition services with certified local mountain guides from Hushe. We handle all logistics, porters, camping gear, nutritious food, safety equipment, and hands-on basic climbing instruction.
