Terms & Conditions

Official booking terms, reservation deposits, cancellation schedules, insurance requirements, and participant responsibilities for all tours and expeditions with Hunza Adventure Tours.

1. Booking & Advance Deposit

A reservation is confirmed once Hunza Adventure Tours receives a formal booking request and a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total tour price. Upon receipt of the deposit, we issue your official hotel booking voucher and Letter of Invitation (LOI) for your Pakistan eVisa. The remaining 80% balance is payable upon arrival in Islamabad in cash (USD, EUR, GBP, PKR) or verified international bank transfer.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you wish to cancel your booking, written notification must be sent to explorehunzavalley@gmail.com. Cancellation charges apply as follows:

  • More than 45 days prior to departure: Loss of 20% deposit (deposit can be transferred to any future departure date within 2 years without penalty).
  • 30 to 44 days prior to departure: 40% of the total trip cost is forfeited.
  • 15 to 29 days prior to departure: 60% of the total trip cost is forfeited.
  • Less than 14 days prior to departure: 100% of the total trip cost is forfeited.

3. Mandatory Travel & Medical Rescue Insurance

All participants embarking on trekking, mountaineering expeditions, or remote safaris must possess comprehensive travel insurance that explicitly covers high-altitude trekking (up to 5,500m or peak altitude), emergency medical treatment, and emergency helicopter rescue through Askari Aviation Pakistan. Proof of insurance must be provided during the trip briefing in Islamabad.

4. Route Alterations & Force Majeure

In mountainous regions like the Karakoram and Himalayas, weather conditions, landslides, snow blockages, or domestic flight cancellations can occur. Our experienced sirdars and expedition leaders reserve the right to modify the daily itinerary in the interest of group safety and health. Any additional expenses resulting from unforeseen force majeure delays will be managed collaboratively.

5. Environmental & Responsible Tourism Code

Hunza Adventure Tours operates under strict "Leave No Trace" principles. Trekkers are required to respect indigenous cultural sensitivities in local villages, avoid single-use plastics where alternatives exist, and ensure all non-biodegradable waste is packed out from high-altitude glacier camps.
